Add and manage locations

Locations are the heart of your locator. Here is how to add them, group them with store types, and edit hundreds at once without losing an afternoon.

By Robin, who builds and runs StoreLo · Updated 2026-07-30

Add a location by hand

Dashboard → Locations → Add location. Type the address and it is geocoded to map coordinates automatically, including the country (you can correct the pin if a rural address lands slightly off). Fill in what you want shown on the store card: phone, website, email, and opening hours per day, which power the open-now status in the widget.

Store types: give each kind of location its own behaviour

A supermarket, your own flagship store and a webshop should not get the same button. On the Locations page, open Store types in the toolbar and define your types, each with a label, a colour pill and its own primary action, for example Buy online for webshop entries and Get directions for physical shops. Assign a type per location in the form, or let the automatic classification handle it: locations without an address count as online, the rest as physical, until you say otherwise.

Bulk actions

Select rows with the checkboxes and a bulk bar appears: set store type, status or priority for the whole selection, or delete it. Priority nudges a location up the results when distances are similar, useful for flagship stores or launch partners.

Hundreds of locations? Import a file

For anything beyond a handful of stores, use the CSV import: one upload, automatic geocoding, and a preview before anything goes live. Export works too, so bulk edits can happen in your spreadsheet.

Frequently asked

How many locations can I add?
Five on the free plan, 250 on Starter, more on Pro and Business. The pricing page lists the exact numbers per plan.
Can I hide a location without deleting it?
Yes, set its status to hidden. Handy for seasonal pop-ups or a store being refurbished.
Can a location link to my webshop instead of an address?
Yes. Give it the webshop store type and its button becomes Buy online with your URL, and it can catch searches with no physical store nearby.
